I wonder hot to actually resolve this dilemma with the least turbulence. If price continue to skyrocket, then those really in need of garlic will suffer, but if price tumbles, both the debtors and creditors will be in great trouble. Actually it’s the same with all kinds of speculative demand, right?

It is just like the tulip bubble in history. And it seems to be more speculation than shortage.
While the housing price bubble is still uncertain, the garlic bubble’s burst could be expected more easily. I don’t know whether the government will intervene in this issue?

I think the government should intervene in this issue, because Garlic is basic for chinese diet and as the article mention, tis used to prevent sickness. As this burble is now in one region, I think with intervention of the government don´t letting the price rise would help to prevent this bubble to expand to other regions.
